Verdict
WALPOLE won a junior bumper over 1m5f at Newbury on last year's racecourse debut. Hugo Palmer's charge may well be up to winning in this code and is just preferred to Mr Caffrey. The latter went close at Navan in October and has since changed yard's. He's weighted to beat another import from Ireland in Be My Sea while hurdles winner Handsome Dan has only his third start on the Flat having placed at Lingfield three weeks ago. Antonio Joli was not beaten far in a similar contest at Kempton last time.
