Verdict
Sholto can land this competitive affair from Desertina and Golden Spectrum. The selection returned from a three month break to chase home Largs in a five furlong contest at Warwick. He ran well here this time last year and this contest looks well within his compass. Desertina will be a tough nut to crack. She has been in great form at Southwell in recent weeks and if she handles this different surface a big run can be expected. Golden Spectrum rarely runs a bad race here and put in another sound effort when finishing second to Free Angel last month. Once again he should be there or thereabouts. Leah's Pride is another to consider for each-way purposes but Sholto looks set for a decent winter campaign and can start with a victory today.
