      Verdict

      Elhaam has failed to threaten in a couple of subsequent starts since winning here in November. Mandy Layla makes more appeal as she made the frame at Southwell last time and has won off a higher mark at this track in the past. Flighty Clarets struggled to win in 2014 but Richard Fahey won this last year with Layla's Oasis, who beat BARBS PRINCESS by a head. The latter can race off the same mark today and Charlie Hills' filly gets a speculative vote on her reappearance.
