Verdict
Summer Shades was a course and distance winner in September and clearly remains in good heart on the evidence of her second place here a fortnight ago. This trip is ideal and she should run a decent race. Better Off has not won for some time but was just a neck behind Summer Shades last time and should again be thereabouts. Night Shift Blues has changed hands since winning a seller at Southwell and does not appear to be particularly well handicapped, so a speculative TEAMtalk selection is given to Gift Of Gold. Although he has not been doing anything spectacular of late, his record at this track is excellent and he returns to the surface on a fair mark, over his ideal trip. The vast majority of Lakota Brave's wins have come in claimers and he is probably worth opposing, and a much bigger threat comes from top weight Brighter Future, who goes well fresh and likes Wolverhampton.
