In depth

Verdict

Last year’s winner Consortium has not raced since April and debuts for a new yard while Vosne Romanee won this in 2015 but is also returning from a lengthy absence having landed a double over hurdles last year. Fast Play has won two of her last three starts over 1m4f but previous attempts over further don’t inspire confidence while both Oratorio's Joy and HALLSTATT (NAP) won claimers last month. The latter beat subsequent dual winner Burnside here so the form looks solid enough and he also has the beating of Marshall Aid on collateral form.
