      Verdict

SEZIM never threatened at Newbury last month but that experience will not have been lost on Roger Varian’s colt, who can upset likely favourite Magic Illusion. The latter sets a decent standard despite being a beaten favourite in both starts to date. He’s been gelded since the second of those but stamina could be an issue over this trip as his full brother was best at 6f and his half-brother, Gold Town, barely stayed a mile. Blowing Dixie looks the pick of the newcomers and he’s also by Dubawi and a half-brother to a Group 1 winner.
