      Verdict

      Spic 'n Span won at Southwell a week ago and seems best at that track these days while Rievaulx World has a three month absence to overcome in his bid to end a long losing run. Sloop Johnb won a similar event over C&D recently and has the beating of Grudge on earlier form. He looks to have every chance of following up but LEWYN is preferred. A three-time winner over C&D, the return to this track can see him back in the winner's enclosure after a couple of respectable efforts in better company at Kempton.
