      Verdict

      Royal Bajan is a leading contender as he went close again at Southwell last time having beaten Triple Dream a neck over track and trip in January. The latter and his stablemate, Island Legend, both finished behind TYFOS when Brian Baugh's charge finished a close-up third here on his latest start. He gets the vote to go one better in this. Blanc De Chine is up 2lb for his course and distance victory in October and we may not have seen the best of French import Gandalak on only his second start for new connections.
