      Verdict

      Saeed bin Suroor has his first UK runner of the year in LOST GOLD. The latter won here in December when beating a subsequent winner and is taken to defy a penalty with this longer distance likely to suit. Saigon is expected to do better back up in distance having gone close at Kempton earlier and has more scope than Lingfield runner-up Scampi while Earth Giant debuts for a new yard on his reappearance.
