Verdict

Pinotage beat Moulin Rouge when scoring over course and distance last month and was placed back here off today's higher mark last time. But ASTRA HALL also made the frame over track and trip on her latest start and Mike Appleby's mare finally looks set to end a long losing run off her current mark having gradually slipped down the weights. Consortium has been hurdling but is not badly weighted back on the Flat while Singzak has been competing at Southwell of late though both previous wins on the all-weather came at this venue.
