      Verdict

Al Awwam can prove good enough against Levelled, Orchestration and So Sober in the final race on the matinee card. Having been purchased at the autumn sales, the move to Mark Brisbourne has proved the answer for Al Awwam who opened his account on only his second start for the yard here six days ago. He could be called the winner a long way out, and although the trainer reckons that he really needs further, a reproduction of that latest effort will make him hard to beat. The veteran Levelled showed that he still has what it takes when nearly making all here last time, but he is still very much a shadow of his former self, and is not certain to maintain his placing over So Sober who was returning from breaking a blood vessel in finishing third. Orchestration was given a great ride by Tony Culhane from a wide draw six days ago, with the first-time visor no doubt helping his cause as well. He is the other for the short-list, but Al Awwam was so impressive that he has to be followed in the finale.
