Modest fare but BEETUNA will be decent odds against Lujano and Plumage. The selection has been in the doldrums for some time but the handicapper is at least doing his bit in dropping him down the handicap and with the Smart team back in some semblance of form, it would be of little surprise to see him give us a good run for our money. Lujano is always dangerous if allowed a soft lead. He probably went a little too quickly for his own good at Thirsk on bottomless going. Michael Blanshard had a winner the other day so Plumage has to be put into calculations. She has ran in better grade than this without success. Orpenella was off the course for some time since April. Bahamian Princess was badly drawn at Beverley so that run is best overlooked. Romantic Verse is tried in first time headgear. Spent has emptied favourite backers pockets on a few occasions while course winner, Wiseman's Diamond is arguably best of the rest. Beetuna is backed at the likely large odds.
