Verdict

Breeding suggests Bascule should stay this extra distance having gone close over a mile at Windsor last time. But BASHFUL was narrowly beaten in a handicap over 1m2f at Chepstow recently and Andrew Balding’s colt may prove the one to side with back at this level as he debuts on the all-weather. The newcomer Samara Star is a half-sister to a winner on the all-weather but the remainder are hard to recommend.
