      Verdict

      Cross Pattee separated a couple of modest efforts with a third at Kempton and the frustrating Mandy Lexi has gone close on more than one occasion. Veturia disappointed after a promising debut and both newcomers are related to winners with Wildcrafting preferred to Bottle Blonde. However, a chance is taken that LYRIC PIECE, who finished a creditable third over C&D despite being unfancied on her debut, will find the necessary improvement and come out best in a tricky affair.
