Verdict
A competitive field goes to post for the first on the card but the principals look to be Mote Mayor Lad, Miss Poppets and Largs and we will take a chance on Monte Mayor Lad. The gelding from the Derek Haydn Jones yard was a fair third behind Victory Vee last time out and a reproduction of that effort would make him hard to beat. Miss Poppets rates the main danger she was a good second behind Stoksies Wish last time and under similar conditions here she will not be far away. Largs could also go well he was a fair third behind Moyaana last time and is another that could go well of the remainder Calendar Girl is from a yard that is beginning to hit top form but we are happy to side with Monte Mayor Lad.
