        Verdict

        My Girl Pearl is preferred to Teyaar and Grezie. My Girl Pearl is certainly no worldbeater but she is at least consistent and her previous efforts over seven furlongs suggest that she might be worth another chance over this trip. Teyaar hasn't won for over a year but this is such a bad race that he cannot be totally discounted. Grezie has been well held in handicaps and may find this a little more to her liking. Scorch is a Mick Channon cast-off that has joined the yard of Vince Smith. A shrewd trainer, the market is watched. The well-bred Urban Calm has been nothing to write home about of late. My Girl Pearl is plenty exposed but in a moderate race, she is the recommendation at the most minimal of stakes.
