Connotation, Speed Dial Harry and Zalkani are the runners to note here, and Connotation is taken to follow up a win here on Boxing Day. Connotation was stepping up in trip when scoring here last time. He re-appears only two pounds higher in the ratings, and with Eddie Ahern on board is taken to follow up. Speed Dial Harry was denied a Southwell hat-trick when touched off by Samuel Charles last time and may have just gone a little too high in the handicap. Brendan Powell saddles Zalkani who was third last time out over ten furlongs at Lingfield. Made favourite on that occasion, Zalkani could only stay on at one pace in the closing stages and a place may be the best he can hope for here.
