In depth
Verdict
Intavac Boy is taken to win this at the expense of Sir Sandicliffe and Bentley Brook. The selection has not won since July of last year but has run up a sequence of fair efforts in defeat this winter for him to be considered a real danger here. He runs off a mark that he is more than capable of winning off and even though he was beaten into fifth place over course and distance last time out this race is not as competitive therefore he has live chance. Sir Sandicliffe is win less after sixteen starts and was a beaten favourite here last time out. He ran well to finish second at Kempton the time before that led punters into a false sense of security. They allowed him to go off favourite at Kempton that day and although he is entitled to go well here he could easily let punters down once more so is to be treated with caution. While Bentley Brook is another frustrating type as he has been win less for two and a half years. Having said that he once again has shown form this winter so cannot be totally disregarded in such a poor race. But for the winner we return to Intavac Boy.
