Verdict
A good race for this time of the year and Tilapia is the tentative selection ahead of Si Foo and Tobago Reef. Tilapia had plenty of use made at Lingfield Park and while a 10lb rise could look harsh on paper, there was plenty of expectation that he would improve for a step up in trip and he could still be capable of more. Si Foo has a dirt pedigree and should be capable of running his race if fit. A long absence tempers enthusiasm gleaned from that Windsor success. Tobago Reef managed to steal a similar contest here in December. All credit must go to Kristin Stubbs for taking the bull by the horns but it is unlikely that her rival jockeys will suffer similar levels of collective insanity by granting her a soft lead. Minaash has often delighted the bookies with modest runs at short prices and is best watched. Deadline carries the colours of Sheikh Mohammed. The Johnston yard have won races with similar types of late so the market is watched. Fractured Foxy beat a number of professional losers last time out and more is required on this instance. Copper King and Homes By Woodford look plenty high enough in the handicap. Plenty of possibilities and Tilapia rates the percentage play.
