        Verdict

        ARLECCHINO’S LEAP carries 6lb extra as he bids for a hat-trick. But he won a higher grade race than this at Chelmsford last time with a bit to spare and Mark Usher’s charge is preferred to the other recent winners including Shamlan. The latter ended a long losing run with last month’s victory here while Kafoo returned to winning ways when scoring at Chelmford. Scribner Creek and Cookie Ring were both placed on their latest starts with the former preferred off his current mark.
