GLOBAL VILLAGE can land this tight handicap at the main expense of Triumphant Welcome and Great Knight. The selection ran his best race yet at Yarmouth on Tuesday when he was only beaten a nose by Takaamul. He remains unexposed and is well drawn and he looks a good bet to open his account. Triumphant Welcome won a maiden at Goodwood back in August and he has been a bit hit and miss since then. However, he showed improved form at Southwell last time when he finished third behind Gioacchino and if he can build on that he should be capable of getting competitive. Great Knight has won over this course and distance so the drop in trip should suit today, although his high draw will make life difficult. Mafaheem has a good low draw and he also has course and distance winning form and with Darryl Holland riding really well he could go well at a price, although he has been below-par of late. A tough race to call and the narrow vote goes to Global Village.
