Verdict
Tropical Son is given a tentative vote in the finale, with Zeloso, True To Yourself and Nocatee all possible dangers. Tropical Son has been threatening of late to add to his sole Lingfield success over shorter in January, and should almost certainly reverse recent form with Dark Parade on these terms. He was staying on at the finish at the Surrey track and should improve again over the longer journey so merits consideration. Zeloso did nothing wrong when scoring in this type of company at Lingfield but was found out in a handicap here 11 days ago, finishing well beaten. True To Yourself was behind Zeloso at Lingfield but had earlier scored at Southwell and should be noted if sent over hurdles one day according to his trainer. Nocatee has already proved himself over timber, and with his yard in form at present he may improve on what he has shown on the level here lately. This is another event not to risk too much Christmas money on, but Tropical Son may do you a favour.
