Verdict

Bessemer Lady made a winning start in handicaps when scoring over course and distance but is upped 8lb. SPIRIT OF ROME (NAP) was a couple of lengths behind the latter in third but that was her first start since November and James Bethell’s filly is taken to turn the tables on these better terms. Knightsbridge Liam is another unexposed type stepping up in trip after finishing a close-up second here and is preferred to The Last Debutante, well beaten when runner-up at Kempton last time.
