Verdict

GRENADIER showed a big improvement last time when returning a clear winner over course and distance. Archie Watson’s charge looks capable of defying a penalty on that form. Wild Edric was no match for the winner when runner-up at Chester on his debut but should be in the mix and is preferred to stablemate March For Men while Sirius Slew went close at Carlisle before disappointing over 7f when sent off favourite at Newcastle. Minnelli and Laoise may prove best of the rest.
