      Verdict

JOYOUSLY has been suffering in handicaps since winning a novices' contest at Chepstow in June, but the drop into this grade and application of headgear means that she makes plenty of appeal at these weights. The consistent Hortensia is stepped up to this trip for the first time, after both her career wins have come over 6f. She acts well here and goes well in this grade, so she is a danger. Takeaway is weighted to get very competitive and ran well when dropping into a claimer here last time, while Areopagitica went close at Windsor in a seller last time and is interesting with potential improvement to come. Joyously gets the verdict.
