In depth

Verdict

Templier had gone close on his first three starts but proved a let down on his all-weather debut here when a long way behind the third TECHNICOLOUR. Charlie Appleby's charge should be suited by this extra furlong and first-time blinkers may also sharpen him up. He's preferred to stablemate Spiegel and also Antioco though the latter drops down a grade for this and could figure. North American-bred Tathqeef was an expensive purchase and the half-brother to a winner on Turf is worth noting in the betting along with fellow newcomer Baileys Galaxy.
