Verdict
With Andrew Balding's stable in good form now Sun Bian has to be respected but the form of his latest start here over seven furlongs does not look good enough and preference is for Meikle Barfil, with Bowness rated the best of the remainder. The selection was well held on his Redcar debut but stepped up on that when fifth of 15 in a Newbury maiden last time and a reproduction of that effort may suffice. Rae Guest's Cape Cross filly Go Like The Wind looks the pick of the newcomers and would not need to be out of the ordinary to take a hand here, while Chillin Out is probably better than he showed in two starts at two. Bowness showed plenty of promise on his debut at Haydock earlier this month and obviously warrants respect but Meikle Barfil sets a decent standard and gets the vote.
