Verdict

No surprise to see the joint top-weights fight this one out. Dictionary finished third in a maiden at Yarmouth last time and won't have to find much improvement in first-time blinkers on his handicap debut. However, VALEO SI VALES faded in the final furlong to finish third over a longer trip in a handicap at Kempton last week and that looks slightly stronger form so he gets the vote. Deslaya is beginning to find her feet, but still has a bit to find if she's to land this, though she should reverse earlier form on better terms with Brighton winner Silca Conegliano.
