        Verdict

        CONFUCIUS ELITE showed plenty of early pace when second at Lingfield last time and this drop back in trip should see him open his account. Jim Boyle's charge is preferred to Samba Night, who proved a disappointing favourite over today's distance at Warwick having ran well over 6f at Ayr before that. Regal Lady made a decent debut when runner-up over C&D three weeks ago, but the remainder may struggle to get involved on the evidence of their form to date.
