        Verdict

        Not a race to get too heavily involved in and from a shortlist that includes My Mirasol, Dance Spirit and Davidia, we chance the last named. Tom Dascombe's charge is decidedly ordinary but he has acquitted himself well at unfavourable terms against better rivals and could be worth another look over what appears to be his favoured trip. My Mirasol is priced to go. This race follows something of an absence so the market is watched. Dance Spirit is a former Brian Meehan cast-off and he is surely better than his most recent run suggests. Zaafira has winning form over seven furlongs while Tahafut steps up in trip following a couple of disappointments for current connections. A bad race in all senses of the word and a recommendation of Davidia can only be made in sheer desperation for a selection.
