        Windshift (IRE) Sharpened up by a spin over hurdles, Windshift bolted up by four lengths here nine days ago. If he can defy his penalty he is sure to go close.

        Golden Legend (IRE) Ex- Geoff Wragg trained gelding of little worthwhile ability including over hurdles.

        Barbason Harder to win with these days but his last victory was in a similar Amateur event.

        Level Headed Decent handicapper on her day but it is worrying that she has never won for an amateur jockey.

        Royal Wave (IRE) Has shown only occasional promise in the past and would need to improve immensly to figure here.

        Doberman (IRE) Consistent type but rarely wins (never won a handicap) ; is due a win and this race shouldn't take much winning.

        Colonel Custer Recently completed a hat-trick of victories in sellers but this a much tougher test; must be in good heart and should give a good account.

        Loch Ailort Couple of decent efforts in big fields at the back end of last season but has shown little since including here seven days ago.

        Dancing Dervish Taking a sharp step back in trip and is hard to suggest as one to bet on.

        Forthechop Cannot be cosidered a serious candidate on the evidence of his occasional racecourse appearances.

        Madame Jones (IRE) Argueably holds Colonel Custer on previous course run but appears a little one paced at times ; place chances.

        Mustang Seems a tricky ride and has not shown much interest recently.

        Nice Balance (USA) Won twice in January last year and on a fair mark; good jockey booked.
