In depth

Verdict

Caribana is taken to score at the principal expense of Samurai Warrior and Montfjord. Michael Jarvis' filly has exhibited distinct signs of greenness in two starts - becoming outpaced before finishing with a degree of purpose as the line approaches. This could be an obvious opportunity to secure a maiden and head straight for the paddocks. Samurai Warrior is rated 76. Some observers have commented about something of a reluctance to find much under pressure but his forte is his effortless style of travelling. Montfjord is bred to have needed a little bit of time before we see the best of him. The stable landed something of a gamble on Tuesday with a debutant so the market is closely watched. Boy Racer is impeccably bred and is a half-brother to Ipledgeallegiance. Sired by Singspiel, he might just need a little further than this trip provides. Lucky Character is another to make a maiden bow. Pie O My and Grail Knight look ordinary. An interesting maiden that can potentially unearth a few future winners but for today, we are with Caribana.
