Verdict
Call Me Max and Sunset Strip have similar claims here and should fight out the finish, Sunset Strip just gets the verdict, with Geometric the pick of the others. Mick Channon's colt has gone close on numerous occasions and ran his usual game race last time when third to Come On Johnny at Doncaster. This looks a weaker event and he can at last lose his maiden tag. Call Me Max chased home Third Empire at Newcastle last time, on the face of it quite modest form. However he ran much better races last season and on official ratings has to be given every chance. Geometric is trained by Richard Hannon and this son of Octagonal showed plenty of promise on his Lingfield debut and there should be plenty improvement to come. Glad Big is the other contender with place claims, but for the winner we return to Sunset Strip.
