Verdict
Not a race to get too excited about, but Bulawayo appears to have strong claims and can beat The Old Soldier and Baytown Flyer. Not many of these have managed to win a race but the selection did get his head in front in a Southwell seller back in July. He also put up a good performance in defeat when a close up fourth behind Arran in a better race than this. He returns form a bit of a holiday but should go close if anywhere near fit. The Old Soldier ran an encouraging race in a similar event to this at Warwick last time, finishing just over two lengths behind Zhitomir, a repeat of that effort should see him in the shake up here.Baytown Flyer hit winning form in April, including over course and distance, his two recent efforts have been very encouraging and he looks set for a place at least. Most of the others have questions to answer, so Bulawayo could be the safest bet.
