      Verdict

      Related to pattern winners, Ultimate Star cost £230,000 as a yearling and is preferred to fellow newcomer Skara Mae. But FOUR MILE BEACH is expected to improve for a recent introduction at Southwell where he finished third and trainer Mark Johnston's good strike rate at this venue suggests his charge will prove just as effective on this surface. King Oswald disappointed at Lingfield last time having run well at Kempton on his debut but the remainder have yet to show any worthwhile form.
