        Verdict

        Galley Law can take the finale ahead of Peace Emblem and Ark Admiral. Ray Craggs' charge has disappointed favourite backers on his last couple of starts and while very much in the last chance saloon, he is entitled to consideration as he is stepped back up to a mile-and-a-half. Peace Emblem took an age to break her duck but she seems a little more suited to taking on trips over a mile. She is taking on genuine mile-and-a-half horses and will need to improve again. Ark Admiral has been tried over a variety of trips by Jeff Pearce but this is the type of animal he excels with and twelve furlongs could be an ideal house. Little Richard, Reflex Blue and Sweetwater have all been campaigned over two miles in recent weeks at the track. The first named of the trio did win over twelve furlongs earlier in the month but is exposed on the book. The market should prove the best barometer but having considered all the evidence, we shall give one final chance to Galley Law to reward his long suffering backers.
