Verdict

BROCKLEBANK showed signs of a return to form when second over 1m2f last time. Simon Dow's charge beat Solar Deity to win last year's renewal and is weighted to confirm running. The latter has not won since 2013 now but finished ahead of Luv U Whatever here a fortnight ago while Afonso De Sousa kept good company on the all-weather early this year but has not raced since April. A 10lb hike in the weights proved beyond Second Wave at Chelmsford last time while Athletic and Glan Y Gors have some improving to do to land this.
