Verdict
Tommy Docc gave notice of a big run today having finished runner-up at Lingfield a week ago while Pilot Wings also found one too good at Kempton in October. Flood Defence is back on a winning mark and finished closer over track and trip last time but Bounderby has yet to win anywhere. Francophilia has to come into the reckoning on her first start since July now handicapping for the first time but ISLE OF AVALON also makes her handicap debut having failed to threaten over shorter trips for Sir Mark Prescott last year. She’s just the unexposed type the latter excels with over middle-distances and gets the nod despite having her first start of the year.
