In depth
Verdict
There was plenty to like about the way that Dreams Jewel won at Southwell last time and the eight-year-old is taken to defy the 6lb penalty for that success, getting the vote ahead of Rare Coincidence and Young Scotton. The last mentioned ran way below expectations at Southwell over 1m4f last time but is better than that run suggests and may do better now returned to a more suitable trip and the Polytrack. Opera Writer finished plum last behind Buster Hyvonen here last time and is better judged on his winning effort here last month but he may be a shade high in the weights now. Winter Cruise has been given a chance by the handicapper but is hard to recommend on recent form and of more interest may be the consistent Rare Coincidence, who stays really well. There is plenty to like about Dreams Jewel though and he is preferred.
