MANCHESTERMAVERICK has been an expensive failure so far, but there is no doubt that he has ability and we will give him one final chance to recoup losses over the likes of Haroldini and Valentino Swing. Hugh Morrison's 4-year-old showed improved form when fitted with the visor and a tongue-tie last time out when he wasn't beaten far in third behind Bollywood Style. He has a good draw today and he can gain an overdue success. Haroldini plugged-on gamely to chase home Mocha Java at Southwell earlier in the month and he looks to be on a very fair mark at present. He can go well but his high draw will not help his cause. There are similar reservations about Valentino Swing who will find stall 11 more of a hindrance than a help. He wasn't disgraced last time out when he was well backed, but he has not won since 2005 and his poor strike-rate does temper confidence in him. Reg Hollinshead does well with his runners here and Cap St Jean can go well from his low draw, but Manchestermaverick can get back losses and finally break his duck.
