        Verdict

        MAZIJ finally showed some improvement for his slide down the weights when runner-up over track and trip last time. He scored on Turf off a 5lb higher mark last year and the dual course and distance winner can confirm recent running with Lady Of Burgundy. The latter doesn't have that much to find with the selection and has subsequently run well again at this track but Layla's Boy has just the one win in 44 starts and that came at Southwell. Rubi Dia has also done all his winning so far on Fibresand while Needwood Park will find life tougher stepping up a grade having beaten Crimson Monarch here last time.
