Verdict
Platinum Duke is in the form of his life and he is taken to continue his run at the expense of Branston Tiger, who ran well here on his only previous visit to this course. The latter a half-brother to the high class Branston Abby and Desert Deer, has yet to get his head in front, but he does have ability if he can be persuaded to use it. Iroquois Chief, who made hard work of winning a claimer last time, may fill third place.
