Verdict

The Mackem Torpedo had to drop down to 6f to get his head in front for the first time but Deftera Lad finished runner-up over track and trip under today’s apprentice last month. Boy George is usually thereabouts without winning but STONEY LANE finally looks set to take advantage of a slide down the handicap. He found only one too good over course and distance recently and can go one better racing off the same mark today.
