In depth
Verdict
Miss Phoebe, Weet By Far and Southwest Star are three against the field in this trappy maiden and the vote is given to Miss Phoebe. The selection has shown enough in all her starts to date to suggest that she can win a small race and in this poor affair from a good draw she looks the one to be on. Weet By Far rates the main danger on his latest second behind Didana but he hangs under pressure and at likely odds he is taken on. Southwest Star is another with place claims on his best form but he is another that does not like to put his head in front. Of the remainder, Desert Life is from a yard in form and could go well at a price but in a race where stakes should be kept to a minimum for the winner we return to Miss Phoebe.
