In depth
Verdict
A very competitive handicap which almost lifts today's card out of the mundane. Our Channel will be among the favourites after winning over a slightly longer trip at Chelmsford on only his second start after a lay-off. Bravo Zolo was very well backed at Lingfield earlier this month and should be winning soon. Solar Deity is invariably thereabouts in races like this, though gets little respite from the handicapper. Stablemate Lat Hawill is tried in a hood while Mont Ras is likely to be in the firing-line again but this may be too tough for Perfect Cracker and Pactolus, TEMPUS TEMPORIS was third in the Listed Newmarket Stakes last May and only ran once after. He's won two of his five all-weather starts and probably still has the potential to be better than a handicapper.
