    Verdict

WILLIAMS WAY is given the vote here ahead of Gremlin and Broughtons Point. The selection was a solid second to Kames Park last time out at Wolverhampton, and the longer trip this afternoon should see him in a good light. He won over this sort of trip at Southwell in January and despite an 8lb higher mark he should run well. Star Choice flopped here last time behind Gremlin, but had previously been in good form at this track. He should see out this trip ok and should bounce back with a better run. Gremlin is only 2lbs higher than when winning at Wolverhampton and his talented young jockey should be on to another good ride as this Dai Burchell-trained gelding may not be done with yet. Broughton's Point is a course winner and he should appreciate this longer trip today. He is now 8lb higher than when winning earlier in the month but this longer trip should negate that. Highland River completes the field but his recent form over hurdles has been poor and he needs to improve on this return to the flat if he is to win now stepped up markedly in trip. An open race, but a good chance for Williams Way to win again.
