Verdict

Peter Grayson saddles four of the seven runners here but could go home empty handed. Grange Lili looks to be his best hope, however that one is taken on with Rebel Duke who gets out vote. The selection was a very creditable third on his debut over this minimum trip in June but then faded late on when tried over six furlongs next time out. He returns today after six months off the track, but if stripping fit he could have too much speed for these. Assuming that he handles the all-weather surface, he should go close. Zilli is interesting however this drop in trip doesn't appear to be ideal as he has been finishing his races well, and so for that reason he is passed over. Wibbadune is consistent, but is starting to look exposed after eight winless starts, whilst Grange Lili is winless in eleven. Therefore for the winner we return to Rebel Duke.
