        Verdict

        KING OSWALD finished in front of both Traveller and Corked when third at Newcastle recently. He’d scored over track and trip last month and can race off a similar mark today with an apprentice’s allowance taken into account. Chaparral Dream travels over from Ireland still looking for his first win, though has gone close at Dundalk in the past, but Caledonia Duchess attempts this longer trip for the first time having failed to score in 24 previous outings. Sir Lancelott won over 7f here at this time last year but has yet to win over this far.
