In depth

Verdict

Hunters' Glen is nominated ahead of King's Head. Hunters' Glen scooted up by 11 lengths in a Beverley maiden and the presence of the Godolphin runner looks to have scared off a sizeable six-day entry. King's Head represents the in-form Michael Jarvis camp and has the edge of racecourse experience. 1m4f seems to be the right trip and this is an obvious drop in class. Gandor ran above himself in a recent conditions event at Leicester. He seems to show his better form when asked to go on. Steppe Dancer is stepped up in trip and while held in high regard by connections, he has struggled when taking on better opposition. Hunters' Glen is likely to be a short price but with obvious improvement anticipated, he gets the nod.
