In depth

Verdict

Mazaaher and Dutch Rifle have both scored over a shorter trip here this year and the former finished ahead of Mubtadi when going close again last month. Modernism was placed over 1m4f at Kempton last week and has every chance off his current mark while Dream Child may show further progress now handicapping for the first time. But OFF THE PULSE (NAP) makes plenty of appeal in this company having won at Haydock before another good effort at Ayr - John Mackie's dual course winner gets the nod.
